World-renowned cellist, Anssi Karttunen, presents a discussion/demonstration on the subject of his improvising and live electronics systems developed with sound engineer David Poissonnier and in collaboration with John Paul Jones, composer, producer, and founding member of Led Led Zeppelin.  The trio, Tres Coyotes, consisting of Jones, Karttunen, and composer/performer Magnus Lindberg, premiered in Helsinki in 2017.

The Finnish cellist Anssi Karttunen leads a busy career as a soloist and chamber-music player, performing extensively with many of the best orchestras and musicians. Karttunen is a passionate advocate of contemporary music and his collaboration with composers has led him to give over 170 world premieres of works by composers as diverse as Magnus Lindberg, Kaija Saariaho, Rolf Wallin, Luca Francesconi and Pascal Dusapin.
