This year's [http://theater.berkeley.edu/CurrentSeason/index-current.html|Berkeley Dance Project] celebrates music and dance with Equal Footing, pairing composers with choreographers, bringing live musicians on stage with TDPS dancers. Collaborations include a premiere from Joe Goode working with composer Joan Jeanrenaud (formerly of Kronos Quartet), and choreographer Lisa Wymore (Smith/Wymore Disappearing Acts) with a new work in collaboration with composer Sheldon Smith. In conjunction with Merce Cunningham's residency with Cal Performances, excerpts of Cunningham's choreography will be performed by TDPS dancers with music composed and performed by David Coll, from the UCB Music Department and Center for New Music and Audio Technology. Directed by Lisa Wymore.
