Marlon Schumacher Joins CNMAT for spring residency

CNMAT is pleased to welcome international composer and researcher Marlon Schumacher for a spring research residency. Marlon will be working in collaboration with Professor Carmine Cella and on his own independent research initiatives.

Marlon Schumacher is full professor for Music Informatics at the Institute for Music Informatics and Musicology (IMWI) of the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Alessandro Frullani Works With Professor Cella on Instrument Augmentation

Alessandro Frullani will be in residence this spring at CNMAT. Alessandro recently finished his masters degree in mechanical engineering. He will be working under the direction of Professor Carmine Cella on the research and development of musical instrument augmentation.

Alessandro specializes in vibration mechanics, acoustics, and psychoacoustics. His master’s thesis featured his work on binaural recording.
