TINNM goes for an authentic space with compelling honesty to NOW. They may rehearse, but perform differently, constructing NOW, and far outside the bounds of conventional jazz structures.
Lorin Benedict scats from Mars and beyond. Kasey Knudsen blows horn prints over Time. Scott R. Looney climbs into the piano and looks for truth in innerspace. Bishu Chatterjee plucks across continents and decades of string theory. Jon Arkin finds Time in the now and is a bit too busy to think about the money.

The recently-formed Sketch Collective is the creative vehicle for composer/improviser Brendan Liu, featuring his original compositions and arrangements. The group first began meeting in the fall of 2011 to workshop a variety of experimental pieces and in that time, has quickly developed a unique chemistry and sound. The Collective's musical pallet covers a wide variety of styles and influences, ranging from free jazz of the 1960s to contemporary hip-hop, and is centered in improvisation.
