Please join us on Monday, December 17th for an exciting concert of new music by the members of the Berkeley New Music Project at 8pm at Hertz Hall on the UC Berkeley campus (near the corner of Bancroft Way and College Ave).

The Berkeley Contemporary Chamber Players and the Worn Chamber Ensemble, led by Bay Area new music champion David Milnes, will perform works by composers Evelyn Ficarra, John MacCallum, Jason Levis, Robin Estrada, Jean Ahn, Heather Frasch, and Jeremy Hunt. Fine Bay Area musicians and performers include Chris Froh, Florian Conzetti, Ben Jones, Peter Josheff, Karen Shinozaki, Leighton Fong, Stacy Pelinka, the San Francisco Choral Artists, Aurora Josephson, Paige Sorvillo, Karen Rosenak, and Myra Melford.

All the pieces on the program are Bay Area premieres, and they reflect the diverse interests of UC Berkeley composers. Highlights of the program include pieces for percussion and electronics (provided by The Center for New Music and Audio Technologies at UC Berkeley), prepared piano and video, chorus, and large mixed ensembles.
