IRCAM Live

Third edition for IRCAM's electronic music rendezvous, this evening of performances of mixed and electronic music, contemporary creation, and new technologies.

This concert, organized during the Forum Workshops, offers an evening of performances combining contemporary creation, electronic music, and new technologies. During the first part of this evening, multimedia artists from the IRCAM software users' community and winners of IRCAM's call for works will present their creations. The premiere of the new work by Alexandre Schubert can also be heard. Keen on technology, the composer develops his work on gesture, improvisation, and writing for electronics. In the work by Steve Reich, a soloist is intertwined with his sound loops and pre-recorded tape: not live, but a common and contagious machine.

This final concert of the year in the Espace de projection (before closing for work) welcomes an original performance by a top artist from the international electro music scene who uses technologies for voice processing and sound diffusion accessible through the IRCAM Forum.

This concert is dedicated to David Wessel who passed away on October 13, 2014.
